As of January 1, 2020, red-white striping with a class 2 reflectivity level becomes mandatory in Flanders for all new construction and worksite vehicles (category 6 vehicles). We use the 3M 823i VWM for this. This regulation replaces the Ministerial Decree of May 7, 1999. For Wallonia, the new regional legislation is not yet finalized. However, it is already known that for all construction and worksite vehicles traveling on roads in Wallonia where speeds of 90 km/h or more are permitted, class 2 red-white markings must be used.

According to the Ministerial Decree of May 7, 1999, Art. 1.3.1, the entire available front and rear of vehicles used for category 6 works, and of containers placed on public roads, must be equipped with alternating red and white stripes of at least 10 cm in width.

The minimum total available surface area of the vehicle and the container, both at the front and the rear, must be 1 m².
